Manal Allam

Manal Allam is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as the IT Head and Business Partner for Merck Group in the Middle East since November 2017, Manal supports senior executive teams across 13 countries and drives significant business transformations, including the delivery of B2B eCommerce solutions. Prior experience includes Group IT Director for Damas Jewellery, overseeing a team of 25 and managing IT services for 250 employees and 200 retail outlets in the Gulf Cooperation Council. Manal's tenure at GlaxoSmithKline featured roles such as Regional IT Service Director, leading IT project delivery across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, and contributing to the global implementation of Workday as the sole HR system. Manal's career began in programming at Shamsi Textile Group and MM For Trade and Distribution in Egypt. Educational qualifications include an MBA, an M.Sc. in Computer Science, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
