Mirko Zierke

Mirko Zierke is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in quality control and project management within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Head of QC Contract Manufacturing at Merck Gruppe since September 2017, Mirko has also held roles as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in Quality Services at the same company. Prior to Merck, Mirko worked as a Research Associate at The University of British Columbia from July 2014 to August 2017 and began a career in the industry as a Laboratory Assistant at Takeda from September 1999 to June 2002. Mirko's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Basel, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Life Science from the University of Konstanz. Additional education includes a Visiting PhD position at ETH Zürich and an internship at the Max Planck Society focusing on Immunobiology.
