Paul Chen

Paul Chen currently serves as the Head of Process Controls and Analytical Technology for Taiwan and China at Merck Group since August 2021, leading a team focused on engineering design in instrumentation, process control, and automation while ensuring adherence to company standards and safety practices. Prior to this role, Paul was a CapEX Project Engineer at 日煙國際 from October 2019 to July 2021, managing capital expenditure projects and providing technical support to enhance production quality and efficiency. Earlier experience includes serving as a Sr. Control Systems Engineer at 康寧公司, where responsibilities included overseeing the installation of new production lines and modifying control systems, and as a Control Systems Engineer at InfoChamp System Corp., specializing in hardware/software design and commissioning. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from National Chiao-Tung University and a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from the University of North Texas. Notable achievements include developing SCADA systems and modifying control programs for China Steel Corp.
