Abhilash Nigam

Abhilash Nigam, PhD, currently serves as Director, Operations at Merck, a position held since June 2016 following roles as Associate Director for Tech Ops Projects and Technical Operations & Strategic Capital Management. Prior to Merck, Abhilash Nigam was employed at Johnson Matthey from July 2007 to June 2016, where roles included Technical Project Manager, Senior Systems Development Scientist, and Senior Applications Engineer. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemical & Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Riverside obtained between 2003 and 2007, and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, completed in 2003. Abhilash Nigam also gained early experience as an intern at Gas Authority of India Limited in 2002.
