Alex Sevy is a skilled scientist with extensive experience in antibody therapeutics and protein engineering. Currently serving as a Sr Scientist at Merck since September 2025, Alex's previous role was as the Director of Antibody Therapeutics at Aegis Life, Inc., focusing on the development of DNA and mRNA-based therapeutics. Prior to that, Alex held positions at Singular Genomics and Merck, specializing in protein engineering and antibody discovery. Alex earned a PhD in Structural Biology from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of Georgia. Additional experience includes research at Vanderbilt University and Emory University, as well as service as a Health Extensionist with the Peace Corps.
