Joanne Lane

Joanne Lane is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in information management and eDiscovery within the legal and compliance sectors. Currently serving as Executive Director and Business Information Risk Officer at Merck since June 2014, Joanne advises on cybersecurity and information risk and is a member of the IT Risk Management & Security Leadership Team. Prior roles include Director of Information Management and Associate Director of Investigations & eDiscovery at Merck, where Joanne led teams in managing litigation support and compliance processes. Joanne has also held significant positions at MetLife and Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, where expertise in legal technology services and eDiscovery strategy was developed. Former Vice President of the Litigation & Practice Support Peer Group at the International Legal Technology Association, Joanne holds a BA in Political Science from Duke University.
