Rebecca Klein

Rebecca Klein possesses extensive experience in the field of neuroscience and electrophysiology, currently serving as Director at Merck since August 2009, with prior roles as Principal Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist, specializing in in vitro electrophysiology related to pain targets. Previous experience includes a Senior Fellowship at the University of Washington, focusing on the biochemical and biophysical regulation of pain receptors, and a Research Associate position at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where investigations centered on molecular mechanisms of axon targeting. Rebecca Klein also contributed to research as a Graduate Student at Yale University, examining mutations in AMPA-type glutamate receptors, and was a MARC U*STAR Fellow at the University of Maryland Baltimore County prior to obtaining a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Yale University. Educational background also includes a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
