Shalisa Oburn is a highly skilled Senior Scientist in Analytical Commercialization Technology at Merck, with experience beginning in June 2021. Previously, Shalisa served as an Eberly Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Penn State University from August 2019 to May 2021, where responsibilities included communicating research directions within a collaborative NSF-funded center, as well as proficiency in Raman spectroscopy and high-pressure chemistry using a diamond anvil cell. Shalisa obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Iowa from 2014 to 2019, focusing on supramolecular and solid-state chemistry for the design of novel pharmaceutical cocrystals and polymorphs. Earlier academic roles included various teaching and research positions at Missouri State University, where Shalisa earned both a Master of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry.
