Tarit Mukhopadhyay currently serves as Vice President and Head of Infectious Disease and Vaccines Discovery at Merck, leading a team focused on developing new vaccines, biologics, and small molecules to improve human health. Previous roles include Associate Vice President positions in Biologics and Vaccine Process R&D at Merck and serving as a Non-Executive Director at the Vaccine Manufacturing and Innovation Centre (VMIC UK). In addition, Tarit Mukhopadhyay was the Chair of the UK Vaccine Network, coordinating efforts between industry and academia for vaccine development. Academic experience includes a professorship at UCL, specializing in Vaccine Bioprocess Development. Educational credentials comprise an EngD in Biochemical Engineering from UCL, a Master’s from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an MEng from UCL.
