Dr. Thomas Winkler

Dr. Thomas Winkler has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy trading industry. Dr. Thomas most recently served as the Head of CEE Origination at Mercuria since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at EDF Trading for over a decade, holding the position of Senior Originator from April 2010 to May 2021. Dr. Winkler also gained significant experience as a Senior Power Trader at Vattenfall Trading from 2008 to 2010. Before that, they worked at Cargill International SA as a Business Development Manager and Energy Trader CEE from 2002 to 2008. Dr. Thomas began their career at E.ON Sales & Trading (PreussenElektra), where they served as a Transmission Manager and Junior Trader CEE from 1999 to 2002.
