Mics Thanos Stathakis

Thanos Stathakis has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting from 2008, they worked as a Maintenance Assistant at HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group of Companies, where they assisted in the day-to-day procedures of petroleum refinery units. In 2015, they joined Lomar Shipping Limited as a Trainee in the Chartering & Operation Department, focusing on voyage estimation and N. T. C. At the same time, they also worked at Trafigura as a Claims & Demurrage Analyst, analyzing and handling claims related to demurrage. From 2017 until 2021, they worked at Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. as a Freight Demurrage & Disbursement Analyst, where they were responsible for various tasks such as analyzing and handling demurrage/non-demurrage/performance claims, calculating/collecting freight, settling brokerage commissions, and preparing voyage performances. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Demurrage Analyst at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A., starting from September 2021.

Thanos Stathakis has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, which they obtained from 2005 to 2012. Thanos then pursued a Master's Degree in Shipping from the University of Piraeus, completing it from 2013 to 2015. In 2018 to 2019, they attended the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and obtained a Professional Qualification in Maritime Studies.
