Paul Scheffler has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Paul began their career in 2009 as a Volume Balancing Analyst and Risk Analyst at Spark Energy, where they monitored and reported positions for natural gas and power trading activities. Paul then worked as a Business Analyst at Adapt2 Solutions, where they served as a liaison between energy providers/industrials and the development team.

In 2011, Scheffler joined Buckeye Partners as a Volumetric/Risk Analyst, managing a team responsible for inventory analysis and ensuring compliance with SOX requirements. Paul also acted as a subject matter expert on the impacts of Dodd-Frank legislation on trading.

Scheffler later worked at Barclays as a Volumetric Analyst, enhancing invoicing productivity and risk control through automated processes. Paul also performed settlements, inventory reconciliation, and taxation reporting for various commodity products.

After their time at Barclays, Scheffler held roles at ConocoPhillips, Martin Resource Management Corporation, and Sunoco Logistics, all in analyst positions related to the crude oil and natural gas industry. Paul worked on tasks such as analyzing volume for profitability, liaising with field personnel to resolve inaccuracies, and coordinating transport and collection of settlements.

In 2016, Scheffler transitioned to the role of Natural Gas and Crude Oil Marketing Accountant at Oxy, where they interfaced with internal and external customers, verified pipe statements and invoices, and assisted in implementing new business processes.

Most recently, Scheffler worked as a Sr. Analyst at Energy Transfer before joining Mercuria Energy America, Inc as a Senior Settlement Analyst in 2020.

Paul Scheffler attended the University of St. Thomas (TX) from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance. Paul also pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy during the same period.
