William Atkinson has a diverse work experience in the energy sector. William started their career as an Intern at Phillips 66, where they analyzed crude oil export arbitrage opportunities and managed physical crude positions for accurate hedging. William then interned at CIMA ENERGY, LP, where they developed a strong proficiency in Visual Basic (VBA) and automated processes in Office 365 applications to increase efficiency in the Mid-Office. Additionally, they built an offshore crude/gas tariff model and identified daily processes that can be automated. William also interned at bp as part of their Global Structured Products team. Currently, William is working at Mercuria Energy America as a Natural Gas Analyst, where they support traders by performing analysis on regional hydro power and national gas storage.

William Atkinson completed their education in the field of finance. William obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, which took place between 2016 and 2020. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Financial Management at Mays Business School, also at Texas A&M University, from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, William Atkinson obtained the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certification from Bloomberg LP in February 2018.
