Muhammad Afzaal

Muhammad Afzaal has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Muhammad is currently working as a Team Lead Information Technology Operations at Mercurial Minds, where they are responsible for creating training materials for engineers and overseeing a team of six members. Muhammad also collaborates with various internal teams and provides coaching to team members.

Prior to this, Muhammad worked as a Senior System Engineer at Mercurial Minds, where they were involved in the research and development of a USSD platform. Muhammad also handled troubleshooting and fixing issues related to the product, as well as its design and implementation.

Before joining Mercurial Minds, Muhammad worked at Ufone as a Sr. Executive MW, Unica & WODM. In this role, they were part of the CRM VAS team and managed the IIB. Muhammad ensured service availability as per SLAs and OLAs and raised change requests for existing systems.

Muhammad also gained experience at Uurnik Systems as a DevOps Engineer, where they played a role in the development of a private cloud infrastructure. Muhammad integrated vRealize Automation with NSX and vCenter Server and created frontend UI using AngularJS.

Earlier in their career, Muhammad worked at Pearltec Pakistan Limited as an IT and Account Officer. Muhammad was responsible for software development, IT equipment maintenance, and document management.

Overall, Muhammad has achieved expertise in various IT roles, including team leadership, system engineering, troubleshooting, and cloud infrastructure development.

Muhammad Afzaal completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from FUUAST from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, they obtained two certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in September 2020, and AWS - Certified Developer Associate from Amazon Web Services in August 2018.
