Howard L. Winns

Howard L. Winns, Jr. holds an MBA and is a certified PMP and CFE. As the Head of Risk Programs at Mercury since August 2023, Howard leads a diverse team of program managers focusing on multiple domains including Vendor Management and Incident Response. In addition to current responsibilities, Howard serves as a mentor and instructor at Interview Kickstart since December 2021. Previous roles include leading safety and risk UX initiatives at Stripe, managing global programs at Amazon, and performing internal audits for BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad. With extensive experience in risk management and compliance across major transportation organizations, Howard started their professional journey at Norfolk Southern Corporation, progressing from HR Intern to Operations Manager. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Clemson University and an MBA from William & Mary.
