Merrill Davis has extensive experience in public affairs and communications, primarily in the heavily regulated energy and health care fields. Merrill has held various senior positions at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, including Managing Director, EVP & General Manager in Austin, and Senior Vice President. Merrill has also worked as a Senior Vice President at Public Strategies, Inc./Hill+Knowlton Strategies and as a Vice President of Communications at Tenet Healthcare Corporation. In addition, they have lectured on strategic communications at The University of Texas at Austin and worked as a Public Outreach Specialist at Texas Ratepayers' Organization to Save Energy. Merrill began their career as an Energy Policy Consultant at the Governor's Energy Office. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Communications at Texas 2036 and Senior Vice President at Mercury.

Merrill Davis completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Policy Studies from Rice University from 1986 to 1991. Later, from 1991 to 1993, Merrill pursued coursework in the Master of Public Affairs program at The LBJ School of Public Affairs.
