Glen Riley is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Project Engineer - Well Engineering and Operations Team Lead at Mercury NZ since December 2019. Prior to this role, Glen was a Geothermal Reliability Engineer at Mighty River Power from March 2015 to December 2019. Earlier experience includes positions as a Mechanical Engineering Cadet at GEA Group, where involvement in the engineering, procurement, and commissioning of vacuum evaporators took place, and a Fitters Assistant at ARC Engineering, providing labor for industrial machine maintenance. Glen began a career at Mighty River Power as a Graduate Mechanical and Reliability Engineer and Maintenance Assistant, contributing to a reliability improvement program and various maintenance tasks from November 2009 to December 2012. Glen holds a Bachelor's of Mechanical Engineering with Honors from The University of Auckland, completed in 2012, and has a strong academic foundation, including NCEA level 3 with Excellence Endorsement from Mount Aspiring College.
