Cherif Ayari

Cherif Ayari has over 20 years of work experience in financial and operations management roles. Cherif is currently the Vice President of International Finance at Mercy Corps since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at FHI 360 for several years, where they held various positions including Director Regional Financial and Operations Support, Operations Business Manager, and Manager of Finance. Cherif was responsible for managing a portfolio generating over $100 million in revenue across multiple countries and worked with a variety of private and public donors. Cherif also has experience as a Financial Analyst at Crystallus Inc., a Financial Analyst/Inspector at SALIM Insurance, an International Finance teacher at Sigma formation, and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Manouba Higher Institute of Accountancy and Entrepreneurial Administration. Cherif began their career as an Intern at the Union des Experts Comptables and BIAT. Throughout their career, Cherif has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, report preparation, and training.

Cherif Ayari completed their education with a Master's degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Carthage in 2009. Cherif then pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in International Finance from Virginia International University from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Cherif has obtained several certifications related to financial management and USAID contract management from institutions such as Humentum and InsideNGO.
