Rebecca Gibbons

Rebecca Gibbons is a Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor at Mercy Corps, focusing on Africa and global food security policy since October 2018. Prior experience includes serving as an Advocacy Officer at Crisis Action, where contributions were made to the Global Yemen Campaign, and holding positions such as Policy and Advocacy Intern at CARE International UK, Campaigns Volunteer at Amnesty International UK, and Research Intern at Waging Peace. Gibbons has a background in political leadership from roles at the University of Exeter Politics Society and has gained legal experience through assistant positions at Trowers & Hamlins, Marsh, and Clyde & Co. Educational qualifications include an MA in War Studies from King's College London and a BA in History and Politics from the University of Exeter.
