Sibongani Kayola

Sibongani Kayola is an experienced leader in social impact and operations, currently serving as the Deputy Regional Director for Operations and Country Director for Sudan at Mercy Corps since October 2022. Kayola has effectively guided efforts to address community needs in Sudan while managing partnerships, budgets, and compliance. Previous experience includes leadership roles at GiveDirectly, where Kayola designed a significant Basic Income trial and oversaw programs impacting approximately 100,000 individuals. Kayola was also selected as a Fellow with The Women's Impact Alliance to support women leaders in social change. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from the University of Oxford and an ongoing MBA at Imperial Business School.
