Philip Wheeler

Phil Wheeler was named Senior Vice President – General Counsel in 2009. He previously served as Vice President – General Counsel, a position he held since January 2007. Prior to joining Mercy, he served as Assistant General Counsel for the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He has also held the positions of Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for HealthTrust, and as Executive Vice President and co-founder of Netcare Health Systems, Inc., an organization that owns and manages hospitals.

Mr. Wheeler received his law degree from New York University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University of Ohio.
