James Beech

James Beech has extensive experience in the field of quality assurance and quality control in the pharmaceutical industry. James currently serves as Vice President and Head of Quality at Mereo BioPharma since February 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Quality, Europe at Shionogi Europe from July 2020 to February 2021, and Senior Director of Clinical Quality from December 2018 to July 2020. James also worked as the Director of Quality Assurance at Kymab Ltd from July 2018 to November 2018. James Beech spent a significant portion of their career at Daiichi Sankyo, where they held various positions such as Global Head of GCP and PV QA from April 2013 to June 2018, Vice President of Quality Assurance from July 2011 to June 2018, Senior Director of GCP QA from December 2009 to July 2011, Director of GCP QA from October 2007 to December 2009, and Associate Director of GCP QA from April 2007 to October 2007. James started their career at Eli Lilly and Company in February 2002, working as part of the MQA team until April 2007.

James Beech earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. James then pursued further education at The University of Sheffield, graduating with a Master of Science degree in Technology & Management from 1996 to 1999.
