Sarit Cohen-Rabbie

Sarit Cohen-Rabbie has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Sarit currently works as the Director of Clinical Science at Mereo BioPharma, a position they assumed in November 2021. Prior to that, Sarit held various roles at AstraZeneca starting in 2015. These roles include serving as Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Modeling from October 2020 to October 2021, Clinical Pharmacology Scientist from July 2017 to September 2020, Associate Clinical Pharmacology Scientist from November 2015 to June 2017, and Post Doc Clinical Pharmacology Scientist from March 2015 to October 2015.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Sarit was a PhD student at University College London from July 2010 to January 2015, focusing on their research in the field. Sarit gained industry experience as a Research Scientist at Pharma Two B, a pharmaceutical R&D start-up, from December 2008 to February 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the development of formulations for Parkinson's disease and generic drugs, as well as overseeing manufacturing processes for human trials.

Sarit also has past experience with Teva Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as an Intern in Pre-Formulation Research from April 2008 to October 2008. Prior to their pharmaceutical career, they served as a Public Interviewer and Team Trainer at the Israel Airport Authority from 2003 to 2008, ensuring aircraft safety through security interviews and leading training programs for new staff.

Their early career includes serving as a Platoon Commander in the Israel Defense Forces, where they led a platoon of cadets and supervised squad commanders from 2000 to 2003.

Sarit Cohen-Rabbie began their education at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2004, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Pharmacy. Sarit successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2008. Sarit then went on to further their education at UCL, starting in 2010. Sarit dedicated four years to their studies at UCL, ultimately obtaining a PhD in Bio-pharmaceutics & formulation science in 2014.
