Danny Filer

Danny Filer is a Senior Scientist at Meridian Bioscience Inc. since May 2022, with prior experience as a Senior Scientific Officer at Queen Mary University of London, where Filer contributed to the establishment of a SARS CoV2 testing laboratory for the Department for Health and Social Care. Filer has also held roles in rapid diagnostic COVID screening at Cignpost Diagnostics Ltd., and as a National Field Organiser for Angela Rayner's campaign, focusing on communication and stakeholder management. Earlier experience includes organizational and leadership roles in a UCL political society and teaching assistance at UCL, complemented by research positions at Atlas Genetics Ltd., progressing from Research Technician to Junior Research Scientist. Filer holds a BSc in Genetics from Cardiff University and is a PhD candidate at UCL’s Institute for Health Ageing.
