Lourdes G. Weltzien

Dr. Lourdes G. Weltzien has more than 25 years of experience in the Life Science and Diagnostic industry and joined Meridian in July 2008 as General Manager for the Life Science business. She was appointed Vice President in September 2013, and President of Asia Pacific Markets in July 2016. In March 2018, she became Executive Vice President for the Life Science business, which consists of raw materials for the development and manufacturing of molecular and immunological assays. Before joining Meridian, Dr. Weltzien held various President, Vice President, and General Manager positions at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (now Millipore-Sigma) since 1994. Her responsibilities included full P&L management in Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Product Management in North America and in Europe.
