Bruce West

Bruce West, FCPA, FCA, C. Dir. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bruce has held various executive positions in prominent organizations such as The Co-operators, Canadian Tire Financial Services, Arise Technologies Inc, Sun Life Financial, and Clarica Life Insurance Company. From 1997 to 2002, Bruce served as the Vice President of Finance & Shared Services at Clarica Life Insurance Company. Bruce then joined Sun Life Financial as the Senior Vice President of Finance & Shared Services from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, they became the President & COO at Arise Technologies Inc. From 2006 to 2007, Bruce served as the Vice President & CFO at Canadian Tire Financial Services. Bruce then moved to The Co-operators, where they held the position of Executive Vice President of Finance & CFO from 2007 to 2018. Currently, Bruce is a Corporate Director at two organizations, Aviso Wealth and Meridian Credit Union, starting in April 2018.

Bruce West, FCPA, FCA, C. Dir. has a comprehensive education history. Bruce obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Accounting from the University of Waterloo. Bruce furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Marketing from Wilfrid Laurier University. Bruce also completed a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in Marketing and Strategy. Bruce West has actively pursued professional development throughout their career. Bruce completed the Partners, Directors & Officer Program from the Canadian Securities Institute. Additionally, they are a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) awarded by CPA Ontario. Bruce West's commitment to continuing education is demonstrated by their recent enrollment in the Competent Boards ESG Certificate Program from Competent Boards, which they will complete in 2023.
