Brent Wilson has extensive work experience in the energy industry, specifically in the hydroelectric sector. Brent started their career in 2004 as a Hydro Operations Manager at Mighty River Power, where they were responsible for overseeing the operations of hydro power plants. In 2008, they joined Meridian Energy as an Engineering Strategy Manager, leading a team of engineers to develop asset management strategies and ensure the technical requirements of major projects were met. Brent'sresponsibilities also included managing compliance with industry regulations and providing expert technical support for new initiatives. More recently, in 2022, Brent took on the role of Engineering Authority at Meridian Energy, focusing on long-term planning and maintaining the capability of the company's plant and property assets.
