Vanessa McIver

Vanessa McIver has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Vanessa started their career in 1997 as an Office Manager at Mount Cook Airlines Limited before transitioning to the role of Programme Manager for the Department of Conservation. Vanessa then worked as the Hostel Manager at YHA New Zealand, where they successfully achieved a 5-star status for the hostel. Vanessa later became a co-owner of the High Country Lodge before joining Meridian Energy as a Twizel Office Manager. Vanessa eventually took on the role of Workplace Services and Fleet Manager at Meridian Energy and is currently serving as the Workplace Services Manager. In 2009, they briefly worked as a Labourer in the dairy farming industry. Overall, Vanessa's experience demonstrates their adaptability and strong management skills in various industries and positions.

Vanessa McIver has a diverse education history spanning several years. Starting in 1979, they attended Twizel School and obtained a 7th Form Certificate, focusing on Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. After completing their schooling at Twizel School in 1997, Vanessa took a break from formal education.

Vanessa's educational journey continued in 2017 when they enrolled at NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority). Vanessa pursued a National Diploma in Ambulance Practice - Emergency Medical Technician. This program focused on developing their proficiency in emergency medical services and ambulance practice. Vanessa successfully completed their studies in this field in 2021.

Concurrently, from 2002 until 2022, Vanessa attended NZIE (New Zealand Institute of Education) and pursued a Diploma in Executive Management with a specialization in Office Management and Supervision. This comprehensive program provided their with the essential knowledge and skills needed for managing and supervising office operations effectively. Vanessa completed their diploma studies in 2022.
