Irene Benvenuti

Irene Benvenuti is an experienced librarian currently serving at Meridian Library District since September 2021. Previously, Irene worked as a Lifelong Education Librarian and Programming Manager at Eagle Public Library from October 2018 to August 2021. Earlier roles include volunteering at Champaign Public Library's Douglass Branch, where assistance was provided in implementing children's crafts and programming, and serving as a text converter at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on making texts accessible. Irene also interned at Yellowstone Research Library, delivering reference services, and held positions as a student library assistant at Michigan State University, where organization and accessibility initiatives were undertaken. Irene holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Michigan State University and graduated from the iSchool at Illinois.
