Darwin Richardson

Darwin has more than 25 years of executive management experience in quality operations, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing operations in the biopharmaceutical industry. He brings a depth of manufacturing expertise in sterile injectables and aseptic processing, as well as a proven track record in modernizing operations and expanding manufacturing capabilities. Darwin is a results-oriented leader who fosters both collaboration and teamwork to create a culture that is built to succeed.

Prior to Meridian, Darwin served as senior vice president of operations and site head at Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services in San Diego, California, where he spearheaded the operations, quality, regulatory, environmental health and safety, and IT for contract manufacturing of clinical and commercial pharmaceutical products. He also formulated the global quality strategy to drive compliance and site strategy, which included drug product filling and packaging, fill line additions, and drug substance manufacturing. Previously, Darwin served as senior vice president of quality and regulatory affairs with BPL Plasma in Austin, Texas, where he directed corporate quality operations for 39 donor centers.

Darwin earned a B.A. in biology with a minor in chemistry from California State University Fullerton and an MBA from the University of La Verne.
