Meridian Township is located approximately 10 miles east of Michigan's State Capital, Lansing, and is immediately adjacent to Michigan State University.  It is approximately 32 square miles in size, and  is close to major highways, rail, and the Capital City Airport is just minutes away.

The Township has a current population of approximately 40,000, and has a park system with over 906 acres of park land in 28 parks and natural areas.

This team includes professionals such as the Chief Of Training EMS Operations, Police Sergeant, Firefighter, and Lieutenant who work collaboratively to provide emergency medical services, law enforcement, fire protection, and crisis response. Their goal is to maintain a safe environment where residents can live and enjoy the many amenities of the township.
