Matthew Sampson

Matthew Sampson has had a varied work experience, starting in 1999 as Director of Music at St James Church in Finchampstead. Matthew then moved on to become IT Services Manager at City Of Ely Community College from 2006 to 2011, where they focused on developing and maintaining IT systems. Following that, they worked as Assistant Director of Music at Trumpington Church from 2011 to 2015, where they played for services, directed the choir, and took choir practices. Matthew then became Deputy Lay Clerk at Ely Cathedral in 2008 and finally IT Director at Meridian Trust in 2011.

From 1994 to 2001, they attended Ranelagh C of E Secondary School, where they obtained their GCSEs & A-Levels in High School & 6th Form, with a focus on Electronics, Economics, and Music.

In 2002, Matthew enrolled at Magdalene College, Cambridge, where they joined the Chapel Choir and studied singing. Matthew remained at the college until 2009.

During the same period, from 2002 to 2005, they also attended Anglia Ruskin University, where they achieved a 1st Class with Honours degree in Audio and Internet Engineering.

Furthermore, Matthew obtained additional certifications, including "Safeguarding in Education" from CMAT in October 2015 and "MOS Expert" from Microsoft in January 2009.
