Thomas Way has a diverse work experience. Thomas is currently working as a Software Automation Engineer at MeridianLink since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operations Officer at Empreendementos from August 2019 to December 2021, where they oversaw the day-to-day operations of the company and managed budgets, lead generation, schedules, training, and onboarding/offboarding employees. Thomas also managed new products and services for a national GPS company and assisted with budgeting.
Before their role at Empreendementos, Thomas worked in the U.S. Coast Guard from July 2015 to July 2019, where they held multiple positions including Machinery Technician - Engineer/Lifesaver/LEO. In this role, they were responsible for shop supervision, leading the engineering watch, and performing search and rescue and law enforcement duties.
Thomas also gained experience as a Junior Accountant at Robert Half from March 2013 to March 2014, and as a Crew Leader at the University of California Irvine from September 2008 to April 2013.
Thomas Way attended UC Irvine from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a degree in Economics with a focus on Business/Managerial Economics. During their time at UC Irvine, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2019, Thomas Way enrolled in Sonoma State University to pursue a second Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2021. In the same year, they attended the United States Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma for a brief period to study Leadership and Management.
