Mary Jo Vernon

Mary Jo Vernon has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Mary Jo worked as the Director of Education and Employee Health at Merit Health from August 2016 to present, where they were responsible for standardizing onboarding and competencies as well as employee health requirements. Prior to that, they served in the US Army, where they held the position of Medical Advisor to a division level headquarters from June 2012 onwards. During their time in the military, they also served as an Officer in Charge of Soldier Readiness Processing, managing daily operations to ensure soldiers were medically ready for deployment.

Mary Jo Vernon earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from Southern Oregon University, which they completed between 1992 and 1993. Mary Jo then pursued further education at the University of Washington, where they obtained a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) between 2006 and 2008. Mary Jo'sfield of study throughout their education has been focused on nursing.
