Jonas J.B. Lim has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jonas J.B. started their career at St. Jude Medical - Cardiovascular Division in 2001, where they quickly advanced from an R&D intern to a Principal R&D Engineer. At St. Jude Medical, they led technical teams and managed projects related to cardiac implants and vascular wound closure, earning 12 patents.
In 2008, Lim joined Boston Scientific Corporation - CRM Division as a Product Manager, overseeing global marketing efforts for new and existing therapies in the Cardiac Rhythm Management's Strategic Marketing Team. Jonas J.B. handled all aspects of the marketing process, including market research, branding strategies, messaging, and product launches.
Moving on to Olympus Surgical Technologies America in 2010, Lim held multiple roles. As Director of Upstream Marketing, they provided senior leadership for a team of six Product Managers, overseeing product development, management, market research, and marketing plan development. As Director of Strategic Marketing, they focused on strategic planning. As a Senior Product Manager, Lim collaborated with R&D centers globally to develop products based on consumer insights and market opportunities.
Lim then joined Element Electronics in 2017 as the Director of Product Merchandising. In this role, they directed product managers and sourcing teams to achieve market goals for the American brand's TVs. Jonas J.B. also cultivated strategic sourcing partnerships in Asia.
From 2018 to 2022, Lim worked at Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. as the Director of Coronary Marketing. Here, they played a key role in planning and executing marketing strategies for coronary atherectomy, microcatheters, and PTCA balloons. Jonas J.B. also managed a product management team and built relationships with opinion leaders worldwide.
Most recently, Lim joined Abbott in 2022 as the Senior Director of Coronary Marketing. In this role, they excelled at extracting customer insights to develop differentiated product positioning and managed product launches and marketing campaigns for seven products.
Currently, Jonas J.B. Lim is the Vice President of Global Marketing at Merit Medical Systems, Inc. Assuming this position in 2023, they are responsible for global marketing efforts within the company.
Jonas J.B. Lim holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Jonas J.B. also has an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Minnesota. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership Development from Emeritus and The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage.
