Gülnur Şafak

Gülnur Şafak has a diverse work experience in the field of data warehousing and business intelligence. Gülnur is currently working as a Senior Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Specialist at Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu A.Ş. (MKK) since September 2022. Prior to this, Gülnur worked as a Data Warehouse Specialist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey from November 2021 to September 2022. Gülnur also served as a Data Warehouse Software Development Project Supervisor at TEB from February 2021 to November 2021.

Gülnur has experience in team leadership, data analytics, SQL, NoSQL, ETL pipeline implementations, Linux shell scripting, data cleansing, time series forecasting, churn analysis predictive modeling, sentiment analysis, keyword analysis, and creating reports using social media data. Gülnur gained this experience as a Team Lead and Data Analytics Engineer at Etiya from April 2019 to February 2021.

In addition, Gülnur worked as a Data Management Software Developer at Ziraat Teknoloji A.Ş. from June 2016 to April 2019. Their responsibilities included the development of PowerDesigner extensions, database normalization redesign, and forming data management metamodels in enterprise architecture tools. Before that, they worked as a Data Warehouse Developer & Analyst (part-time) and a Data Warehouse Developer Intern at Yapı Kredi Bank from September 2014 to September 2015, where they gained experience in ETL tools like Informatica and SAP Powerdesigner.

Their professional journey began with an internship as an Information Technologies Intern at Teknosa in August 2013. Overall, Gülnur Şafak has built a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise in the field of data warehousing and business intelligence through their various roles and experiences.

Gülnur Şafak attended Istanbul Technical University from 2011 to 2016, where they studied Computer Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. In 2017, they received the Oracle Sertifikasyon Programı from Bilginç IT Academy. In 2015, they acquired certifications in Software Quality & Testing and Project Management from Turkcell. Subsequently, in 2018, they completed the Big Data and Business Analytics Certification Programme from İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi. In 2019, they attended the AWS Innovate Online Conference Machine Learning and AI Edition provided by Amazon Web Services. Lastly, in 2020, they obtained the AI Foundation-Level Knowledge Certification, AI Fundamentals, and AI in Telecoms Overview from TM Forum.
