Staff Systems Engineer at Merlin Labs

Andy LoPiccolo has worked as a Systems Engineer since 2008. Andy began their career at United Space Alliance before joining Collins Aerospace in 2011, where they served as a Sr. Systems Engineer - Flight Controls. In this role, they were responsible for the development of flight guidance and control symbology requirements for low visibility takeoff, Category III landing operations, Autonomous Flare, and Takeoff-Rotation Guidance on various Head-Up Display (HUD) programs. Andy also performed software verification of flight guidance functionality with the development and execution of test scripts written in Python, Visual Basic and C coding languages, and created MatLab scripts and Simulink models to validate implementation of control law theory and software functionality. In 2021, LoPiccolo joined Merlin Labs as a Sr. Systems Engineer.

Andy LoPiccolo received a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2011. Andy began their studies in 2006.
