Sherif Ali

Sherif Ali is the Chief Engineer at Merlin Labs. Sherif has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and aerospace industry.

Sherif began their career in March 2017 as the Autoflight Design Engineering Manager at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation Global Career. In this role, they supported the agreement on the ATA 22 AFGCS specification with Rockwell Collins. Sherif also developed/owned the ATA 22 System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).

In August 2018, Sherif left Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation to join Merlin Labs as the Chief Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Sherif Ali has a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering from Arizona State University. Their focus was on aerodynamics.

Sherif Ali reports to Matt George, CEO. A direct report to Sherif Ali is and Alexander Naiman - VP, Engineering. Sherif Ali works with Aaron Devlin - Chief Pilot, Ashley Pelzek - VP, Business Operations, and Jonathan Bearce - Director of Operations.
