Hamidreza Jafarinia

Hamidreza Jafarinia is a skilled researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MERLN Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine since June 2022, focusing on developing mechanistic computational models and studying mechanotransduction. As a PhD researcher at the University of Groningen since September 2017, Hamidreza has performed computer simulations to explore the onset of familial ALS and has also supervised numerous bachelor and master thesis projects, guiding students towards success in prestigious positions. Additionally, Hamidreza has experience as a Teaching Assistant in physics of fluids and has contributed to research at the Computational Mechanics Lab and as a Guest Researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where the analysis of large-scale simulation data and the study of self-propelled microswimmers were conducted. Hamidreza holds a PhD in Micromechanics and Computational Biophysics from the University of Groningen, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shiraz University.
