Varun Jain

Varun Jain serves as the Global Head of Sales and UK Board Member at MerQube since June 2022, where responsibilities also include leadership over European operations. Prior experience includes a role as Managing Director at Cygnus Capital from 2020 to 2022, contributing to a US-stocks strategy and developing the MerQube Vol Advantage indices. Varun was a Proprietary Trader at TradeLink Holdings LLC from 2018 to 2019, specializing in short-term mean reversion strategies in bond futures. Between 2008 and 2018, Varun held multiple positions at Deutsche Bank, ultimately becoming the Head of Equity ETF Trading Europe, where significant achievements included overseeing a leading ETF bank franchise, managing the entire ETF life-cycle, and engaging in industry conferences. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University, a Data Science degree from WorldQuant University, and an MBA in Finance and Technology from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
