Kiernan McKay is an accomplished Color Designer with extensive experience in the footwear industry. Currently serving as Color Designer 2 at Merrell since January 2021, Kiernan has successfully created seasonal color palettes and executed over 250 colorways per season, while also establishing Merrell Maker’s Day to promote innovative repurposing of discarded materials. Previously, Kiernan ran Mckay Mowing, significantly growing the customer base from 7 to over 50. Previous internships include industrial design roles at Steelcase and DISHER, where Kiernan contributed to product designs that entered successful production. Demonstrated success also includes leading the design for the Spring 2021 Cohesion 14 at Saucony, resulting in over 500,000 units sold. Kiernan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Product Design from Kendall College of Art and Design.
