Carrie Smith Ph.D., Rbp, Cbsp

Carrie Smith, PhD, RBP, CBSP is a Senior Scientist at Merrick & Company providing biosafety support on various projects. Prior to this role, Carrie worked as a Biological Safety Officer and Alternate Responsible Official at the U.S. Geological Survey, where Carrie oversaw the biosafety program and managed the select agent program. Carrie also served as a Biological Safety Trainer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, conducting biosafety training for researchers on campus. With a Ph.D. in Genetics from North Carolina State University, their research has focused on molecular investigations of fungal pathogens.
