Scott Hinds P.E. has extensive work experience in the engineering field. In 1983, they started their career as a Senior Engineer at Bechtel Corporation, where they specialized in decontamination tasks and developed remote manipulator/robotic recovery devices. Scott then joined Bechtel Savannah River and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in 1989 as a Project Engineer, where they were responsible for technical leadership and scope development of nuclear and hazardous facility design modifications.
In 2009, Hinds became a Senior Project Manager at Merrick & Company, where they successfully managed complex multi-discipline engineering tasks, including client requirements generation, budget and estimate generation, risk management, and subcontract planning. Scott also worked on the Chemistry Metallurgical Research Replacement (CMRR) Project, which was a new building project funded by NNSA.
Hinds held various roles at Andeavor Refining from 2014 to 2018, including Reliability Engineering Supervisor and Strategic Reliability Lead, where they oversaw reliability engineering functions and implemented operational excellence initiatives. Scott then served as the Operational Excellence Implementation Lead at Andeavor in 2017-2018.
From 2018 to 2020, Hinds worked as a Fixed Equipment Engineer at Marathon Petroleum Corporation, focusing on fixed equipment designs. In 2020, they briefly worked as a Nuclear Engineering Consultant at SSHinds Engineering before joining Merrick & Company as a Project Manager. Scott Hinds P.E. has demonstrated expertise in a wide range of engineering tasks and has successfully managed projects throughout their career.
Scott Hinds P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. In addition to their formal education, Scott Hinds P.E. has acquired several additional certifications throughout their career. In 1994, they obtained a Professional Engineer certification from South Carolina. Later, in 2012, they achieved another Professional Engineer certification, this time from New Mexico. Most recently, in August 2018, Scott Hinds P.E. obtained a Transportation Workers Identification Credential from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
