Heather Lutz

Heather Lutz has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Heather is currently working at Datasite as an Engineering Manager - Data since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company from August 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining Datasite, Heather worked at Merrill Corporation from April 2016 to August 2020. During their tenure, they held multiple positions including Senior Software Engineer (April 2018 - August 2020), Software Engineer II (November 2017 - August 2020), and Associate Application Developer (April 2016 - August 2020).

Heather's career began with their enrollment at Prime Digital Academy in September 2015, where they completed an accelerated software engineering bootcamp as a student until January 2016. The bootcamp provided comprehensive instruction in various technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, Node.js, AngularJS, and JQuery.

Prior to their software engineering journey, Heather served as the Dean of Students at Minnesota School of Business from November 2012 to October 2015. Heather'sresponsibilities included collaborating with staff and faculty on retention and completion efforts, mapping goals and progress for students towards graduation, developing strategies for withdrawn students to return to school, and monitoring student academic progress.

Heather also gained experience at the University of Minnesota as a Discussion Leader and Mentor in a temporary position from October 2011 to March 2012. Heather led discussion groups for incoming international students, focusing on improving their intercultural communication skills and ability to function effectively in the U.S. culture.

In 2011, Heather worked as a Program Administrator at Building Community Within where they wrote grant proposals, recruited and trained volunteers to work with Somali students, and developed program evaluations to track improvements in students' academic levels and engagement.

Heather also served as an English Instructor at Hmong American Partnership from November 2010 to March 2011, teaching English to students.

Heather started their career as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) at the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) from August 2008 to August 2010, where they assisted in teaching English.

Before pursuing their professional career, Heather gained internship experience at USA Sports and Marketing Services as an Intern from May 2008 to August 2008.

Heather also worked as an Executive Assistant/Marketing Assistant at Leadership for International Finance from July 2007 to May 2008.

Heather Lutz completed their BA degree in English at William & Mary from 2004 to 2008. Heather then pursued an MA degree in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota from 2010 to 2012. In 2015, Heather attended Prime Digital Academy, although the duration of their program and the specific degree or field of study they pursued there is unknown. Additionally, they obtained two certifications from MongoDB, namely the MongoDB Certified DBA Associate Level and the MongoDB Certified Developer Associate Level in November 2017.
