Mike started their career at CDM Smith in 2008 as an Estimator, where they quickly gained recognition and became the Lead Estimator within months. Mike estimated nearly $1 billion in complex environmental infrastructure projects, demonstrating their expertise in water and wastewater treatment facilities, remediation, and conveyance pipelines.
In 2010, Mike was promoted to Project Engineer at CDM Smith, where they played a crucial role in a $50 million design-build water treatment plant and pipeline project for the US Marine Corps. Mike led preconstruction activities, managed subcontractors and vendors, and contributed to design reviews. Mike'sexceptional performance earned him a spot in the company's distinguished Emerging Leadership Team.
In 2012, Mike transitioned to the role of Assistant Project Manager at CDM Smith, leading a $36 million design build wastewater treatment facility project for the US Coast Guard. Despite budget constraints, they effectively managed subcontractors and vendors, maintained client relationships, and ensured project success.
In 2014, Mike joined Bay City Flower Company, Inc. as an Operations Manager. Mike achieved remarkable results, generating over 50% of the company's $25 million annual revenue and leading an 80-person team. Mike excelled in planning and managing schedules, resources, and product inventory while maintaining quality control and safety measures.
At Medigram, Inc., where Mike worked from 2020 to 2023, they held the position of Head of Operations/Chief of Staff. Mike built critical organizational capabilities using multiple project management methodologies, key metrics, and other tools to align teams and position the company as a market leader in medical mobile communications. Mike also served as a thought partner to the CEO, providing insights and guidance in key business areas.
Currently, Mike is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services, where they started in 2023.
Mike Ng has obtained a BS degree in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Additionally, they have obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2022.
