Principal Associate Scientist at Mersana Therapeutics

Bingfan Du has a comprehensive work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Starting from 2002, Du worked as a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Wichita State University. Moving on, from 2006 to 2011, Du worked as a Senior Associate at Amgen Inc., where they contributed to the synthesis of various small molecule compounds for pain disorders and Alzheimer's disease, among others. Du also played a key role in the development of AMG 900, a small molecule inhibitor currently undergoing clinical evaluation. Following this, Du worked as an Associate Scientist at Amgen Inc. in 2011, demonstrating exceptional expertise in synthetic route optimization and supporting drug discovery programs in oncology and neuroscience. In 2012, Du became a Principal Researcher at Eisai, focusing on the synthesis and purification of natural products for an oncology project. Bingfan Du holds a Master of Science degree in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry from Wichita State University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, Bingfan Du earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, respectively, from Sichuan University between 1998 and 2001.
