Susan Clardy

CMC Project Lead at Mersana Therapeutics

Susan Clardy has extensive work experience in the field of analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical development. Susan started their career as an intern at Tate & Lyle in 2006 and later joined MEDA as an intern in 2007. In 2008, they became a PhD candidate and teaching assistant at Syracuse University. After completing their PhD, Susan worked as a Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital from 2012 to 2015. Susan then joined Selux Diagnostics, Inc as a Senior Scientist in 2015. Susan currently works at Mersana Therapeutics, where they have held multiple roles since 2016. These include Scientist in Discovery Analytical Chemistry, Senior Scientist in Analytical CMC, Associate Director of Analytical CMC, and currently serves as a CMC Project Lead. In their various roles, Susan has been involved in providing analytical characterization for research materials, managing contract research organizations (CROs), developing in vitro/MS based assays, and optimizing potency assays.

Susan Clardy completed their education in the following order: Susan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from Millikin University in 2008. Susan then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry from Syracuse University, which they completed in 2012. Finally, they pursued post-doctoral studies in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Harvard Medical School from 2012 to 2015.
