Matthew Baltierra

Matthew Baltierra serves as General Counsel for the Tucson Roadrunners since August 2024 and holds the position of Associate General Counsel at The Meruelo Group since March 2022, providing in-house legal counsel for various sectors including construction, media, and food & hospitality/gaming. Prior experience includes roles as an Attorney at Jones, Skelton and Hochuli from February 2020 to March 2022, at Thorpe Shwer, P.C. from February 2019 to January 2020, at Lewis Brisbois from June 2015 to February 2019, and at Wood, Smith, Henning & Berman LLP from March 2012 to June 2015. Additionally, Matthew Baltierra gained judicial experience as a Judicial Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court, CACD during the summer of 2007. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Pepperdine Law (2005-2008) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California State University, Fresno (2000-2004).
