Nicholas Horvath

Nicholas Horvath is a seasoned professional in quantitative pharmacology and pharmacometrics, currently serving as Associate Director at Merus N.V. since August 2023. Previously, Nicholas held the position of Head of Mechanistic Modeling (PKPD/QSP) and Computational Scientist II at Synlogic from April 2020 to June 2023, where responsibilities included leading quantitative modeling efforts, generating insights for preclinical and clinical programs, and mentoring a Computational Research Associate. Nicholas's experience also encompasses a Graduate Student Researcher role at Cornell University, where kinetic and constraint-based models were developed for cell-free protein synthesis. Furthermore, internships at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research provided expertise in pharmacokinetic modeling and data analysis. Nicholas earned a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cornell University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Physics from West Virginia University.
