Terry Segerberg has a diverse work experience. Terry started their career in 1980 as the owner of Advanced Business Services, where they remained until 2000. In 1994, they transitioned to the public sector and became a council member and Mayor of the City of Hercules until their retirement in December 2002. Additionally, in 1997, they became the President of Mesa Industries, Inc.

Terry Segerberg attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth from 2015 onwards, where they completed the Tuck School - Women's Business Enterprise National Council Executive Program. Prior to that, Terry graduated from Armstrong College with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting. They also attended Pasadena City College and obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Accounting and Business/Management. Terry's education journey started at San Marino High School, where they obtained a Diploma.
